He advises multinational firms on transactions such as M&A and IPOs, on restructurings and crises. He acts as a sparrings partner for CEOs who look for an unfiltered outside-in perspective.
Prior to joining Kekst CNC in 2005, Bernhard was Managing Director at Citigate Dewe Rogerson. In this role, he was involved in Germany’s largest privatizations and has advised on a vast range of IPO and M&A activities, with a total volume of more than EUR 100 billion. In 1995/1996, Bernhard was responsible for the communications around the IPO of Deutsche Telekom. He started his career in Corporate Audit for Philip Morris. He studied Business and Economics in Koblenz, Bath and Lyon and holds a degree from WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management.

Describe your typical day.
I’m fortunate enough not to have a typical day. Regardless of my schedule, I need to know what’s in the media. And I try to see my kids at least for breakfast or dinner.
Who or what inspires you?
Art, music, my kids.
What does success look like to you?
Like a happy client.
What advice do you have for aspiring communications professionals?
Listening is more important than speaking.
