Nermine has extensive experience with strategic communications, capacity building, and international media relations.
Nermine Afiouni leads the public relations portfolio in our Riyadh office, she holds more than thirteen years of experience in the communications domain, and she`s heavily engaged on capacity building exercises for government and corporate clients and strategy development requirements.
Prior to joining KEKST CNC, Nermine was leading the PR Practice for Memac Ogilvy in Riyadh with a diversified portfolio across corporate, consumer and semi-government. Nermine also worked as Group Account Director at APCO Worldwide for seven years through which she engaged in developing government communications practices in the UAE, specifically in the emirate of Sharjah, Dubai, and UAE Federal Government. Leveraging her skills in capacity building, coaching and communications analysis, she has led the establishment and management of the Sharjah Government Communication Unit, a central communications function servicing the 50 government entities in Sharjah, under the umbrella of Sharjah Media Center.
Nermine also worked closely with Bahrain government for establishing the National Media Center and with the Ministry of Information in KSA for structuring and running the operations of the International Center for Communication during the launch phase.
In her early years in UAE, Nermine worked closely within a variety of practices for clients in both the private and public sector such as VISA, the UAE Ministry of Economy, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Center for Leadership Development, Hamdan Bin Mohammed Program for Leadership Development, EDAAD, as well as projects for the Dubai Executive Council and the Dubai Judicial Institute.
Nermine holds a Master’s in Applied Mathematics and Statistics from the Lebanese University of Beirut. She is also an experienced voice-over artist fluent in Arabic and English.
