Q&A with Lucy
What is the biggest opportunity for Kekst CNC and the Communications industry?
Something that could be regarded as both an opportunity and a threat and that is the topic of the efficient and ethical use of data. How we reach our audiences in an impactful, personalised and relevant way while still being mindful of people’s changing opinion towards the use of targeting and online marketing is just something that the industry cannot ignore. Watching how big tech platforms like Google respond to consumer sentiment will also be very interesting.
What are you passionate about?
Analytics, data and specifically, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO). Google keeps us on our toes when it comes to online reputation management and I’m fascinated by how algorithms depict what we read and watch.
What do you like most about Kekst CNC?
The collaborative and global culture and the people working within it. It makes for a vibrant and passionate working environment with lots of interesting ideas and perspectives.
Who is the most impressive speaker you’ve ever heard?
Not necessarily impressive per se but Mark Zuckerberg was definitely memorable. Seeing him speak at the Publicis Viva Tech in 2018 was a highlight of the whole event. His appearance was comparable to that of a rock-star in that he commanded a huge stage presence and the noise from the crowd was electrifying! He answered questions about the recent data security scandals in calm yet authoritative way and maintained composure that indicated a career supported by only the most rigorous of media training.
What digital platforms do you actively use?
Forever a fan of LinkedIn and have been for years. I’m also a heavy user of the Uber app!
