Roland has extensive experience in the financial services sector, having held senior Communications roles with leading global financial institutions before re-joining Kekst CNC in 2019.
Roland re-joined Kekst CNC after five years at BlackRock, Inc., the world’s largest asset management firm, where he held several senior communications roles in London and Frankfurt. He previously worked for The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., where he was a member of the Executive Office team managing Communications for the German-speaking region, Eastern Europe and Russia. Roland initially joined Kekst CNC in 2006 and worked as a consultant in the Munich and Frankfurt offices.
Roland graduated with an MA in Philosophy, German Literature and Communication Sciences from the University of Leipzig and a BA in Philosophy from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.

How has the firm changed since you first joined?
Since I first joined in 2006, Kekst CNC has grown to become a truly global communications firm with a strong footprint in the U.S., Europe and Asia, while still maintaining its unique culture and client focus.
What advice do you have for aspiring communications professionals?
What are the major industry challenges in the next 3 to 5 years?
The growing importance of digital content, the threat of ‘fake news’ and the resource constraints of traditional media outlets pose major challenges to the reputation of our clients and thus the work we do for them.
What would be your favourite travel tip?
The Kazbegi region in Northern Georgia with its stunning mountain landscapes.
