Q&A with David

Take the most interesting project you have worked on recently: Why was it interesting?

Helping to bring cinema back to Saudi Arabia after a gap of more than 40 years. The excitement amongst Saudi audiences was palpable but our client needed sound guidance on the management of multiple stakeholders as the eyes of the world were diverted momentarily towards one of the first high profile realizations of the Saudi Vision 2030 agenda. It allowed us to draw on our considerable experience in the Kingdom to help strike the right balance between client brand positioning, courtesy and diplomacy.

What gets you out of bed in the morning?

Either the cat or a child. 5am for the former, 5:50am for the latter. Every. Single. Day.

Who is the most impressive speaker you’ve ever heard?

My sixth-form history teacher Michael Kidson. No man before or since has ever made history quite so vivid. Young minds transported to the throng a retreating Grande Armée or the floor of the House during the consequential parliamentary debates in the 19th Century. Masterful.

What career advice would you give to your younger self?

Speak up. Everyone is just as frightened about looking silly as you are.

Which actor/actress could play you in a movie?

Hugh Bonneville. And I would do a reasonably good job of playing him.
