Report: Social Media Audiences for Freshman Members of Congress

With the 118th Congress underway, many of the new faces in both chambers will be looking to quickly demonstrate their active engagement in upcoming policy debates with their constituents. Social media platforms will be a primary channel for many of these legislators, allowing them to easily, rapidly, and directly share their messages with the public, and without the filter of traditional news media.

To take a closer look at the potential reach of freshman members of Congress on social media, Brian Bartlett, Partner and Head of the Kekst CNC Washington D.C. Office, worked with Kekst CNC Intelligence to analyze their presence across four major platforms—Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn—measuring their social media follower counts and ranking them amongst their peers.
