Amy continues to serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders at public and private companies as varied as Boards and senior management teams, investors and investor relations groups, and creditors to help them anticipate, navigate, and solve their biggest reputational, financial, and legal challenges.
Prior to joining Kekst CNC, Amy was a Restructuring & Insolvency Partner at Linklaters. While there, she advised a wide range of counterparties, including companies, municipalities, bondholders, investors, and other stakeholders in all aspects of Chapter 11 cases, out-of-court-restructurings, acquisitions, and other distressed situations. Before that, Amy was a longtime Partner with Jones Day in their Business Restructuring and Reorganization Group, where she worked primarily on representing corporations in Chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings, as well as on a full spectrum of restructuring alternatives, including debt workouts and asset dispositions. Amy began her restructuring career as an Associate at King & Spalding.
Amy is a member of the New York, District of Columbia, and Georgia Bars, as well as the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Turnaround Management Association, and IWIRC. She was an inaugural winner of Lawdragon’s 500 Leading U.S. Bankruptcy & Restructuring Lawyers Award, won DCA Live’s Emerging Women Leaders in Private Practice, was recognized by Chambers USA as a “Leader in the Field,” and received M&A Advisor’s Energy Deal of the Year (over $100MM) Award. Amy formerly served on the global board of the Turnaround Management Association and as a former global co-chair of its Network of Women. She is also an Emeritus Member of the Board of Councilors of The Carter Center.
Amy holds a B.A. in Politics, magna cum laude, from Wake Forest University and a J.D. degree from Emory University School of Law, where she was a James L. Colson Scholar.

Restructuring and Bankruptcy
During her decades-long legal career, Amy advised companies, municipalities, creditors, and other stakeholders through complicated and special situations, including the below:
- Leads Kekst CNC teams advising on cyber security and data breach incidents, including with leading retailers, an online travel group, a tax preparation company, a national restaurant group, and a software provider, among others.
- Advised Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank as Revolving and LC Agent and Collateral Agent in the McDermott International Inc. Chapter 11 restructuring.
- Represented Steinhoff International Holdings N.V., the second lien lender and majority shareholder in the Mattress Firm Chapter 11 cases.
- Counseled debtors including Lehman Brothers International (Europe) in multiple complex cross-border restructurings and Chapter 15 cases, including those involving English schemes of arrangement.
- Provided senior counsel to Peabody Energy Corporation with respect to its Chapter 11 restructuring, during which the company negotiated and developed a plan of reorganization that reduced Peabody’s debt burden by more than $6.6 billion.
- Represented National Public Finance Guarantee Corporation, a bond insurer, in multiple in- and out-of-court restructurings, including the San Francisco Asian Art Museum, Forum Health, and Jefferson County, Alabama.
- Served as lead attorney in the Chapter 11 forensic investigation of Soundview Elite Ltd., the external investment manager of six offshore Cayman Islands-organized investment funds.
- Advised Emory Healthcare in, among other matters, the Chapter 11 filing of Southern Regional Medical Center.
- Served as lead restructuring counsel in the Chapter 11 filing and sale of MSD Performance Inc., a producer of automotive ignition components, and its domestic subsidiaries.
- Lead advisor to the City of Atlanta / Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport as a committee member in the Delta Air Lines’ bankruptcy.
- Advised LJM2 Co-Investment, L.P., a limited partnership formed for the purpose of making investments in energy businesses, on its restructuring.
