He has significant experience in investor relations, crisis and issues management, M&A, and bankruptcy and restructurings, among other areas of expertise.

Daniel is a Partner in Kekst CNC's New York office, advising clients on cybersecurity and technology risk, bankruptcy and restructuring, and financial communications and investor relations – as well as a broader range of high-stakes situations spanning major transactions, crisis management, and strategic positioning. His work has included guiding technology and other companies through significant cybersecurity incidents, advising companies and stakeholders on liability management transactions and other complex restructuring and capital structure issues, and counseling public companies through periods of heightened investor and market scrutiny.

He has deep experience advising publicly traded and private entities across industries, as well as high-profile individuals, on sensitive communications challenges – and has developed particular depth in the healthcare and private capital sectors.

Prior to joining Kekst CNC, Daniel worked in corporate communications and investor relations at Pearson, where he served as chief of staff to the CEO. Daniel holds a B.A. in English from Brown University.

Cybersecurity and Data Privacy

  • Advises companies across industries on communications strategy and execution in connection with significant cybersecurity incidents, including ransomware attacks, data breaches, and unauthorized network access events.
  • Supported organizations in developing proactive cybersecurity communications frameworks, including crisis preparedness planning, stakeholder notification protocols, and executive messaging for cyber risk disclosure.

Restructuring and Bankruptcy

  • Has provided strategic communications counsel and execution support in preparation for and in connection with numerous Chapter 11 cases.
  • Significant domestic and international business reorganization and restructuring support, including Hertz, the U.S. business of L’Occitane en Provence, CraftWorks Holdings, and Jack Cooper.

Crisis and Issues Management

  • Works with institutions and individuals to manage a variety of special situations, including major industrial accidents and environmental disasters, data breaches, product recalls, supply chain issues, litigation, and social media-related incidents, among others.

Private Capital

  • Advises leading alternative investment firms on both strategic positioning and ongoing announcements, including portfolio acquisitions and personnel moves.
  • Supports fund-level communications, including LP and GP messaging, fund launches, and capital raise announcements.
  • Provides crisis and issues management support to portfolio companies navigating high-stakes operational and reputational challenges.

Financial Communications

  • Supports development of strategic communications plans and execution of investor relations activities for clients across industries, including around quarterly reporting and financial disclosures, investor days and meetings, and management succession and leadership changes.
