Piotr Pillardy

Research Principal
Piotr is a core member of the Knowledge, Insights, Research & Analytics (KIRA) team.

He supports clients on a wide range of research initiatives for both short- and long-term projects, including actionable communications-focused due diligence, industry research and traditional/social media analysis.

Piotr is a core member of the Knowledge, Insights, Research & Analytics (KIRA) team. He supports a wide range of research initiatives, including actionable communications-focused due diligence, industry research and traditional/social media analysis. Additionally, he leads in-depth communications-focused due diligence research for Board appointments, crisis litigation, contested M&A, and activism situations. His investor relations experience includes shareholder communications, meeting preparation, and investor targeting. He also is experienced in media relations, litigation support, and crisis preparedness and response including for private equity, consumer finance, and industrials companies, among others. Piotr also sits on the global digital super user team.

Additionally, he is a member of the National Investor Relations Institute’s (NIRI) New York chapter.

Prior to joining Kekst CNC, Piotr worked at Blue Heron Research Partners, where he provided qualitative due diligence to institutional investors and corporate clients. Before Blue Heron, Piotr served several roles at Exiger LLC, a global boutique management consultancy specializing in governance, risk and compliance.

Piotr holds a B.A. (cum laude) in History and History of Art from Cornell University.


Experience

Communications-focused due diligence research

  • Piotr has spearhead actionable communications-focused due diligence research at the firm, leading engagements involving pre-transaction assessments, board appoints/leadership transitions, activism/IR support, and opposition research. Notable clients include LVMH and Ingredion, among others.

In-depth traditional/social media analysis

  • Piotr has led teams and conducted research for a variety of clients seeking to understand various aspects of their online media conversation. Clients include Centerbridge Partners, EQT Partners, Himalaya Capital, and Icon Health & Fitness, among others. Piotr has also conducted pro bono research on behalf of the Innocence Project.

Investor Relations

  • Piotr’s investor relations experience includes shareholder communications, meeting preparation, and investor targeting on behalf of clients including Starbucks, Compass, Foot Locker, Corning, and JetBlue, among others.

Shareholder Activism

  • From activism vulnerability assessments to activism-related financial research, Piotr has provided data and insights related to activism mandates on behalf of clients across industries.
