Jon counsels management teams and Boards on business challenges (and opportunities) in which effective communications is critical.

He possesses broad experience advising management teams across a wide range of matters related to corporate and financial public relations. Jon’s special situations work includes counseling clients on Crisis Communications; Bankruptcy & Restructurings; Mergers & Acquisitions; Litigation & Regulatory Support; and Alternative Investments, among other matters.

Jon brings more than 20 years of strategic and financial communications experience to helping US and international enterprises on the messaging, strategy and tactics to meet their business priorities and successfully manage complex reputational challenges and special situations.  A lawyer by training, Jon’s expertise includes extensive litigation and regulatory support matters, M&A, restructuring, corporate positioning and crisis communications.

Prior to joining Kekst CNC, Jon served as the founder of Perry Street Communications, where he worked closely with leadership teams as well as legal and financial advisors to construct and execute successful communications programs. He previously served as an Associate at Kekst CNC in New York from 2001 to 2006. Prior to this earlier Kekst CNC experience, Jon served as Director of Research for MSD Capital, LP, the private investment firm for Michael Dell. He started his career as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Texas.

Jon holds a BA in American Studies from Wesleyan University (Middletown, CT) and a JD from The George Washington University School of Law.
