London, 26 April 2023 – Kekst CNC, a leading international strategic communications consultancy, announced today that Mikey Hoare is joining the firm as a Director in London. Mikey joins from the UK Cabinet Office where he was Director of National Security Communications, overseeing communications campaigns that help to protect the UK from major threats such as hostile state disinformation and complex cyber incidents. Most recently as part of his role, he has led the UK Government’s communications around the war in Ukraine.

Prior to joining the Cabinet Office, Mikey was Director of Communications at a UK national security agency, responsible for external and internal comms. Other previous roles included: Head of Communications at the British Embassy in Washington; running the press and digital team at the UK Foreign Office; and Press Secretary at the UK Mission to the UN in New York. Mikey Hoare added:

“Kekst CNC has an impressive reputation for helping clients get ahead of, and deal with, their most intense and high-stakes situations, and I am delighted to be joining the team.
